The Role

As a Sales Executive, this newly created role demands a high level of self-motivation, a professional sales manner and the ability to both develop and maintain an existing customer base along with identifying and generating new business opportunities across the North West based at their strategically placed depot in the region.

Main duties involve:

  • Proactively contact both current and prospective customers, building strong relationships with the aim of maximising sales and exceeding KPI’s and targets for the region
  • Liaise with customers via telephone, email and face-to-face at the Trade Counter
  • Identify and track project opportunities across the North West region utilising a variety of sources such as ABI/ Glenigan etc.
  • Target Groundworkers, Contractors, Waterproofing and Gas membrane Installers, Housing Contractors and Brickwork companies
  • Introduce key initiative products
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates to customers for products and services
  • Ensure the required margin is maintained
  • Delivering excellent customer service and communication


The Candidate

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working within a fast-paced sales environment where professionalism and a high levels of customer service are key to success.

You should have the ability to thrive in an autonomous role that requires self-motivation along with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.  





Other skills required include:

  • Confident in taking and making calls to groundworkers, QS’s, and Buyers
  • Confident in quote management from raising through to end sale including negotiation stages
  • Suitable knowledge of construction around the North West, and local investiture
  • IT literate, using a bespoke system to raise quotes, also use emails and spreadsheets daily
  • To be able to negotiate site lists and data sites such as Barbour ABI
  • To show eagerness to grow within the industry and to accept new responsibilities and targets as the business grows
  • Able to recognise when a site visit is needed and be confident to either attend site or to offer support or negotiation
