Design & Sales Consultants in the Construction Industry blend design expertise with sales capability to turn client briefs into practical, buildable product solutions. They operate at the intersection of design intent and procurement, ensuring products meet aesthetics, performance, and budget requirements.

What they do

Engage with architects, interior designers, specifiers, MEP consultants, contractors, and procurement teams to understand project briefs and design intent.

Interpret space planning, performance criteria, and stylistic goals to recommend interior finishes, fixtures, furniture, ceilings, partitions, flooring, acoustics, doors, and millwork.

Translate design concepts into technical specifications, CAD/BIM content, data sheets, samples, and documentation to support procurement.

Deliver CPD seminars, product demonstrations, and design-led presentations to specifier audiences to drive awareness and specification potential.

Develop specification strategies, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and secure endorsed products for projects.

Assist with tender support and value engineering to balance design integrity with cost and lead-time constraints.

Coordinate with internal teams (technical, marketing, field sales, manufacturing) to ensure products meet timelines and can be produced to specification.

Stay current with UK building regulations, fire performance standards, sustainability frameworks (BREEAM), and product compliance (UKCA/CE).
