<p><strong>The Role </strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and developing sales opportunities with main contractors, specialist subcontractors, and builders’ merchants throughout North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. The role will focus on both new-build and refurbishment projects across a broad range of construction sectors.</p>
<p>Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, the position will involve building and maintaining a strong customer base while driving profitable sales growth and securing project opportunities for the company’s East London, West London, and Maidstone branches. The role requires a commercially minded and proactive individual who is confident engaging with key decision-makers, developing long-term relationships, and converting opportunities into measurable business growth.</p>
<p><strong>The Candidate </strong></p>
<p>In order to be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working within a fast-paced sales environment where professionalism and a high levels of customer service are key to success.</p>
<p>As you will be taking an active role as a member of the sales team, you will need to have a flair for sales and enjoy working to targets and meeting sales goals.</p>
<p>Experience in the construction industry either in merchanting or distribution is advantageous along with the ability to work autonomously as well as working as part of a team.</p>

<p>We are seeking a technically strong and commercially driven <strong>Technical Sales Manager</strong> to join a <strong>well-established manufacturer of fixings and fastenings</strong>. This field-based role covers <strong>London and the South</strong>, with a strong focus on the rainscreen cladding and facade sector.</p>
<p>As the technical expert in the territory, you will build long-term relationships with <strong>architects, facade engineers, main contractors, and specialist cladding subcontractors</strong>, providing high-level specification support and on-site technical guidance</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drive sales growth of fixings, fastenings, and rainscreen cladding systems across London and the South.</li>
<li>Promote mechanical fixings, brackets, and support systems into the building envelope and rainscreen cladding sector.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors.</li>
<li>Provide expert technical advice and solutions for facade and cladding projects.</li>
<li>Conduct <strong>CFA Pull Testing</strong> on site to validate fixing performance and support specifications.</li>
<li>Deliver technical presentations, CPD sessions, and value engineering proposals.</li>
<li>Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to secure project specifications and bids.</li>
<li>Identify and convert new project opportunities through proactive specification work.</li>
<li>Achieve and exceed sales targets while delivering excellent customer service.</li>
<li>Provide market intelligence on trends, competitors, and customer needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven technical sales experience in fixings &amp; fastenings, rainscreen systems, cladding, or a related building envelope / construction products sector.</li>
<li><strong>CFA Pull Test trained</strong> (highly advantageous) – candidates with current or recent CFA Pull Testing certification will be prioritised.</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of rainscreen cladding fixings, brackets, and support systems.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li>
<li>Excellent relationship-building and communication skills at all levels.</li>
<li>Self-motivated with proven ability to manage a large field sales territory effectively.</li>
<li>Full UK driving licence.</li>

Specialising in thermal, acoustic, and fire protection insulation products for floor, wall, and roof applications, this role offers the chance to work with high-quality solutions trusted across the construction industry. You’ll build relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and installers while developing your own customer base and driving sales growth. <p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build existing customer relationships to improve customer satisfaction, business retention and cross sales.</li>
<li>Grow new business by engaging with decision making stakeholders within the construction industry.</li>
<li>Deliver updates via CRM (training will be provided), attend monthly team meetings and prepare reports when required.</li>
<li>Network at supplier and industry events to promote the brand.</li>
<li>Build a strong network of industry &amp; sector partners, installers, architects &amp; builders to seek support for both business growth and retention.</li>
<li>Prepare customer proposals and solutions with clear costings and evaluations.</li>
<li>Achieve Sales KPIs set by management team.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively as part of the wider sales team, customer operations and logistics.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3 years plus experience in a sales/technical role desirable.</li>
<li>Must have some experience in construction and/or building materials.</li>
<li>Strong communication, presentation &amp; IT skills.</li>
<li>Adaptable, self-driven &amp; team oriented.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a high growth business.</li>

Our client is a leading Joinery Manufacturer &amp; Distributor and due to expansion they are seeking a dynamic individual to join their sales team. Ideally you would be experienced in Joinery Products and have strong sales skills. Having worked in the Builders / Timber Merchant sector would also be an advantage, to have a good understanding of the construction sector.</p>

<p><strong>Reporting to: SALES DIRECTOR   </strong></p>
<p>As <strong>AREA SALES MANAGER</strong> you will be working closely with the sales team and clients you will ensure all proposals meet client specifications within their budget while maximizing sales opportunities.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities as AREA SALES MANAGER  </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Selling a compressive range of high-quality joinery products</li>
<li>Quoting and costing customer requirements</li>
<li>Understanding customer needs and requirements,</li>
<li>Organizing your own diary, visit clients to maximize productivity and territory coverage</li>
<li>Grow &amp; develop your relations with Merchants &amp; Retailors and expand your accounts</li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required as AREA SALES MANAGER  </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in sales ideally in the Joinery Sector</li>
<li>General Construction knowledge essential &amp; knowledge of Joinery / Fire Doors / Door Sets</li>
<li>Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision</li>
<li>Confident and professional telephone manner</li>
<li>Effective communication skills</li>
<li>Customer focused with sound commercial skills.</li>
<li>Good IT skills &amp; PC literate and experience</li>
</ul>

<p>We are seeking a driven Technical Sales Manager from the building envelope sector to lead and grow our presence across the South East UK. This role is focused on delivering profitable growth through a consultative sales approach, managing key accounts while actively developing new business opportunities. You will work closely with contractors, OEMs, and distribution partners, building strong relationships across technical and commercial teams to secure specifications and projects. With strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness, you will identify opportunities, outperform competitors, and consistently deliver against targets while representing the business with professionalism and integrity.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Objectives</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Achieve budgeted turnover and profitability targets</li>
<li>Manage and develop new business in the defined sales region through a consultative sales approach</li>
<li>Always represent the company in a professional and proficient manner</li>

<p><strong>Principal duties</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage key accounts within sales territory</li>
<li>Develop new and existing business within the region by working with sub-contractors, key OEM and distribution partners</li>
<li>Provide technical/consultative sales support by networking and building strong working relationships within all departments of the customer/client. This includes areas such as technical, estimating, purchasing and contracts managers.</li>
<li>Ensure you have good product and application knowledge at all times</li>
<li>Ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided at all times</li>
<li>Maximise profitability whilst securing the business</li>
<li>Pro-actively seek and secure projects within your sales region</li>
<li>Work closely with your peers to fully leverage all opportunities</li>
<li>Understand your competitors and report back on a regular basis any information of note</li>
<li>Complete all sales administration as required in full and on time</li>
</ul>
