Job Description

Are you interested in joining a well-established supplier of heavyside building products who are looking to appoint an Internal Sales Representative to help them capitalise on opportunities across construction industry.

The Role

Working closely with an externally based Sales Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of set sales targets and will be responsible for developing the company’s business across a given geographical region, raising the profile of the company with new customers whilst maintaining and improving existing business relationships.

Specific duties would include:

Making a high volume of outbound calls (40 calls /day) to key stakeholders of construction projects – eg. building contractors, developers, architects – to secure interest
Working to company sales KPI’s and targets
Proactively pursue new sales leads
Respond to occasional inbound enquiries
Sales of all company product ranges to meet agreed area budgets
Consistent and regular chasing of enquiries, taking a ‘consultative’ approach
Successfully progress specification of upcoming projects from architectural stages to contractor and order. Full ownership of the process
Accurate and timely management of current customer database.
Communication with all relevant colleagues on a day-to-day basis
Tracking Projects through to multiple stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Our Client is looking for rresilience and the ability to demonstrate persistence
You’ll be eager to learn and receptive to new ideas
Demonstrate a history of sales experience or customer facing roles
A good/reasonable knowledge of IT, especially CRM, EXCEL, Outlook
There are no education requirements, but you must be articulate, and able demonstrate your points clearly both verbally and in writing

Reporting to: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Working along with your team you will manage Timber inventories, track all stock levels and ensure all materials match customer orders and goods leave the yard undamaged. You will track stock levels and ensure that supplies are sufficient to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities as STOCK CONTROLLER

Inventory Tracking, monitor stock movements and update digital database.
Goods inbound & quality checks, inspect incoming timber deliveries against orders, check for damages.
Carry out regular stock physical checks and cycle counts to resolve discrepancies.
Yard Co-ordination, work along with yard staff to ensure Timber is safely stacked & labeled.
Ensure Health & Safety procedures, enforce secure stacking methods and general warehouse and yard safety, maintain compliance with site safety.
Deal with vendors, track shipment statuses and arrange returns for faulty items.

Skills and Experience Required as STOCK CONTROLLER

Proficiency in stock management software, IT & systems
Stock basic math’s skills to handle stock counts, reconciliations and discrepancy investigations.

The Role
