<p>Working in conjunction with our Client’s expert design and sales teams, you will be responsible for promoting their high-quality Civil Engineering Products by building and maintaining relationships with Specifiers, End Users, Tier 1 Contractors, Tier 2 Contractors, Civil Engineering Specifiers and Major Infrastructure Specifiers.</p>

<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop existing relationships and create new ones so that our Client is the specifiers 1st choice for their range of products.</li>
<li>Understand the specification process.</li>
<li>Raise the Company’s profile within the Civil Engineering and Major Infrastructure sector targeting Specifiers, Decision Makers and all Key Stakeholders involved in product selection and specification.</li>
<li>Deliver CPD training and presentation.</li>
<li>Knowledge of reading construction drawings would be helpful.</li>
<li>Promote and sell new product ranges.</li>
<li>Achieve agreed targets.</li>
<li>Where necessary, assist with New Product Development areas.</li>
<li>Identifying key Specifiers and Stake Holders</li>

<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required </strong></p>
<p>In order to be successful in this role, you will need experience in dealing with one or more of the following Specifiers, Tier 1 Contractors, Tier 2 Contractors, Key Decision Makers, Specifier Influencers.</p>
<ul>
<li>Self-motivated individual who can work well either on their own or in a team in a highly proactive sales environment.</li>
<li>Ability to manage own diary</li>
<li>Track record of Solution Selling</li>
<li>A UK drivers’ licence is essential.</li>
<li>Previous experience as a Specification Sales Manager or similar field-based roles</li>
<li>Competent IT skills are required, including MS Office &amp; Outlook.</li>
<li>Good communication skills with a friendly approach are needed.</li>
<li>The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail is a must.</li>
<li>Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.</li>
<li>A high degree of professionalism and a good understanding of Specifier, Contractor, End User roles within the Specification Process, with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.</li>
<li>Present and promote to existing and prospective customers</li>
<li>Reach out to customer leads through cold calling</li>
<li>Maintain market awareness including identifying and tracking suitable construction projects and act accordingly</li>
<li>Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments</li>
<li>Provide customer training including Merchant and Specialist Distributor depots if required</li>
<li>Attend open days and exhibitions, both on stands and for research purposes.</li>
<li>Support the launch of new products</li>
<li>Develop joint marketing plans with sales team where applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate customer records.</li>

<p>This is a specialist specification sales role focused on driving brand presence, generating specifications and converting commercial opportunities across Central London.</p>
<p>The focus will be on increasing visibility and specification penetration for a premium floor covering brand within one of the most influential commercial interiors markets in the UK.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for developing long term relationships across the Architecture &amp; Design community, Design and Build, Fit-Out, contractors, specialist installers, end users and other relevant commercial project stakeholders, positioning the business as a trusted partner for design led flooring solutions.</p>
<p>The role is predominantly field based, supported by access to an excellent Central London showroom environment, which will play an important role in client engagement, product presentations, meetings and broader networking activity.</p>

<p><strong>If so, we are working with a leading manufacturer of Drainage and building products who are looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to join their team with responsibility for promoting their solutions across the Northern region. </strong></p>

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting our Client’s high-quality, market-leading range of building and drainage solutions by generating project opportunities and building relationships with key target customers to gain product usage.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Specific duties would include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop existing relationships and create new ones so that our Client is the customers 1st choice for their range of products.</li>
<li>Understand the specification process.</li>
<li>Track and follow up on project opportunities from Tender stage</li>
<li>Raise the Company’s profile within its existing key stockist base, setting up business plans and sharing project information.</li>
<li>Deliver training and product presentations to Contractors and Merchants.</li>
<li>Be able to negotiate prices within agreed parameters to give the company the best margin opportunities.</li>
<li>Dealing with customers’ day-to-day requirements.</li>
<li>Knowledge of reading site drawings would be helpful.</li>
<li>Promote and sell new product ranges.</li>
<li>Achieve agreed targets.</li>
<li>Where necessary, assist with New Product Development areas.</li>
<li>Identifying key installing contractors, setting up trading terms and building long-term business objectives</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required </strong></p>
<p>In order to be successful in this role, you will need experience in dealing with one or more of the following: Main Contractors, Roofing Contractors and Architects along with experience in managing key merchant accounts.</p>
<ul>
<li>Self-motivated individual who can work well either on their own or in a team in a highly proactive sales environment.</li>
<li>Ability to manage your own area, introduce tailored customer business plans to drive sales forward.</li>
<li>Track record of Solution Selling</li>
<li>A clean drivers’ licence is essential.</li>
<li>Previous experience as an AREA Sales Manager or similar field-based role</li>
<li>Competent IT skills are required, will need to know how to use MS Office &amp; Outlook.</li>
<li>Good communication skills with a friendly approach are needed.</li>
<li>The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail is a must.</li>
<li>Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.</li>
<li>A high degree of professionalism and a good understanding of specifier, contractor and merchant relationships is required, with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.</li>

<p><strong>Are you currently working within specification support, showroom management, internal sales, estimating, project coordination or a design led commercial interiors role, and looking to step into a more client facing position within the London A&amp;D market?</strong></p>
<p><strong>We are partnered with a world renowned, market leading manufacturer of premium bathroom, brassware and sanitaryware solutions. They are now looking to appoint a driven and ambitious Project Specification Support Manager to help strengthen their presence across Central London commercial projects.</strong></p>
<p><strong>This is a structured development opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in specification sales. Working closely with key architects, interior designers and internal stakeholders, you will support live commercial projects, help drive specification activity, and develop the skills and market exposure needed to progress into a fully-fledged field-based Project Specification Manager role over time.</strong></p>

<p><strong>What You Will Be Doing  </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Supporting the promotion of a design driven, premium Bathroom and Sanitaryware portfolio to architects and interior designers</li>
<li>Working closely from the South West London showroom 3 days a week and collaborating with the wider commercial team to support specification activity across Central London</li>
<li>Building relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors and project partners across Hospitality and Leisure, Office &amp; Workplace and wider commercial sectors</li>
<li>Assisting with the creation and coordination of specifications, quotations, samples, mock ups and project related documentation</li>
<li>Supporting live commercial projects from early design stage through to order placement and delivery coordination</li>
<li>Helping to manage inbound enquiries, follow up opportunities and maintain momentum across active projects</li>
<li>Working closely with procurement teams and internal colleagues to help ensure the full supply chain remains aligned</li>
<li>Using CRM to track opportunities, maintain accurate records and report on activity regularly</li>
<li>Providing technical and project support to customers and internal teams as required</li>
<li>Attending face to face meetings, networking events, exhibitions, design shows and client events to build market exposure and develop confidence within the London A&amp;D community</li>
<li>Gradually developing into a more autonomous, field-based specification sales role over time</li>
</ul>

<p>Full product and sector training will be provided, along with support from experienced colleagues, structured marketing campaigns and internal lead generation. This role is designed to develop into a fully-fledged Project Specification Manager position over a 12-month period for the right individual.</p>

<p><strong>What You Will Bring </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience within specification support, showroom management, internal sales, estimating, project coordination, design support or a related commercial interiors role</li>
<li>Exposure to working with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers or project stakeholders within a specification led environment</li>
<li>A genuine interest in design led, premium products and an appreciation for the commercial specification process</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage professionally with both internal teams and external clients</li>
<li>A proactive, organised and self-driven approach with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn<br />
Commercial awareness and a clear desire to develop into a more client facing, field-based specification sales role over time</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and live project activity while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism</li>
<li>Competence with MS Office tools including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, with CRM exposure beneficial</li>
<li>A positive, adaptable attitude and the ambition to build a long-term career within the London A&amp;D community</li>
</ul>

<p>Bathroom, Brassware and Sanitaryware experience is advantageous along with a strong understanding of the commercial hospitality sector but not essential. Any strong background within commercial interiors, KBB, surfaces, furniture, lighting or other specification led product sectors will be considered</p>
